4 Reasons To Celebrate Your Small Business Wins

House of 334

We’re just weeks away from 2019, so naturally it’s time to reflect on all of the wins that happened in 2018. If you’re like me, tooting your own horn can feel unnatural, a bit indulgent, and a little too much like navel gazing. But as an entrepreneur, it’s important to take an honest look at what didn’t work, but also what did.

To be quite honest, the ladies of the House of 334 had a pretty good 2018.

We celebrated our first year in business, tackled nearly 20 client projects, launched several new services, and earned a hefty little profit, too. While we learned quite a few valuable (and hard earned) lessons in our very first year, it’s important to look back at our successes, too.

As entrepreneurs, we tend to be really hard on ourselves and compare our journey to others. While you’re grinding to build your business and brand, it’s easy to focus on what needs improvement instead of what you got right. But remembering to pat yourself on the back from time to time keeps you motivated to keep going, even when things aren’t so easy.

It will help keep things in perspective

Hopefully, you got into business because you want to serve others. Sure, you want to secure the bag, too, but the most successful entrepreneurs tap into something deeper than just making money.

By focusing on the positive impact you’ve made on the customers you serve or the clients you assist will not only help you stay focused on your main goal–service–but it’ll improve your bottom line as well.

Gratitude Matters

Like Auntie Oprah once said, “What you focus on expands, and when you focus on the goodness in your life, you create more of it.”

By honoring your successes, you’ll continuously have even more to celebrate.

It will motivate you to keep winning

Listen, nothing motivates you to go harder than seeing what you’ve already accomplished. Unfortunately, sometimes we don’t stop and take stock of what we’ve done unless it’s something “big.” But remember this: every win counts, and each one will continue to push you forward.
